The following thesis seeks to explore the return and re-signification of vintage photography in contemporary practices, paying particular attention to the ways in which the aesthetics of the past are reinterpreted by new generations. After an introduction to the history of photography and its main pioneers, the paper focuses on the interest, nostalgic and otherwise, in analog photography, valued for its slow and authentic nature that stands in stark contrast to the frenzy of digital. It then discusses the new analog photography and examines its characteristics, emerging practices and the dialogue between traditional media and digital tools. In this context, photography emerges as a form of remediation, in which analog and digital languages contaminate and enrich each other. Through qualitative interviews with a selected sample of people, the experiences, practices and personal motivations related to this particular expressive choice are explored.

Abstract
Through qualitative interviews with a selected sample of people, the experiences, practices and personal motivations related to this particular expressive choice are explored.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
