An order book algorithm determines the size and the price of any purchases and sales that an individual is willing to commit to, for a defined period of time. This work tries to build an order book logic that is specifically designed for power markets. More specifically, the size and the timing of the power flows are designed to maximize the profitability and the longevity of the battery that is connected directly to a the high voltage grid. We develop and test our algorithm on European power markets. A PID control logic is also added to the algorithm to make best use of the battery cycles.
