The employee selection process represents a strategic element for organizational success, impacting the quality of human capital and the company's long-term sustainability. This study analyzes the theoretical foundations of selection, comparing them with the practical experience observed at a labor consultancy firm serving small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, where the process is often informal but attentive to organizational fit. The emerging role of artificial intelligence in selection is also explored, with particular focus on its advantages in reducing cognitive biases and the associated ethical risks. The integration of human expertise with advanced technologies is proposed as the optimal solution to enhance the effectiveness and fairness of selection processes.

Abstract
The employee selection process represents a strategic element for organizational success, impacting the quality of human capital and the company's long-term sustainability. This study analyzes the theoretical foundations of selection, comparing them with the practical experience observed at a labor consultancy firm serving small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, where the process is often informal but attentive to organizational fit. The emerging role of artificial intelligence in selection is also explored, with particular focus on its advantages in reducing cognitive biases and the associated ethical risks. The integration of human expertise with advanced technologies is proposed as the optimal solution to enhance the effectiveness and fairness of selection processes.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
