Controllo di Gestione, Costi e Sostenibilità in un’Azienda Siderurgica: Il Caso Acciaierie Beltrame tra Redditività e Transizione Green

1. General Introduction I will discuss the economic and environmental context of the steel industry in Europe, integrating it with the growing importance of management control and sustainability. 2. Management control and tools used in analysis I will discuss the function of management control and the main tools used by controllers(budgets, KPIs, variance analysis,..). 3. Cost Analysis and Pricing in a Steel Industry I will discuss the main classifications among costs and how they are managed in steel mills. I will also expound on the main pricing techniques in heavy industry. 4. Sustainability and the green transition in management control In this section I will discuss corporate sustainability and how management control adapts to it. 5. The "Chalibria" project I will talk about the birth of the Chalibria project, the differences between a normal product and a green product, and the impact of green sales on the total. 6. Software used within the group I will talk about the main software used to manage the enterprise and derive data useful for control. 7. Operational criticalities in management control I will talk about two criticalities that I identified during the internship and how to deal with them. 8. Conclusion I will reason about the importance of this training experience at the group.

1. Introduzione generale Parlerò del contesto economico e ambientale dell'industria siderurgica in Europa, integrandolo con l'importanza crescente del controllo di gestione e della sostenibilità. 2. Il controllo di gestione e gli strumenti utilizzati nelle analisi Parlerò della funzione del controllo di gestione e dei principali strumenti utilizzati dai controller(budget, KPI, analisi degli scostamenti,..). 3. Analisi dei costi e determinazione del pricing in un’industria siderurgica Parlerò delle principali classificazioni tra i costi e come vengono gestiti nelle acciaierie. Inoltre esporrò le principali tecniche di pricing nell'industria pesante. 4. Sostenibilità e transizione green nel controllo di gestione In questa sezione parlerò della sostenibilità aziendale. 5. Il progetto "Chalibria" Parlerò della nascita del progetto Chalibria, delle differenze tra un prodotto normale e un prodotto green e dell'impatto delle vendite green sul totale. 6. Software utilizzati all'interno del gruppo Parlerò dei principali software utilizzati per gestire l'impresa e ricavare i dati utili al controllo. 7. Criticità operative ne controllo di gestione Parlerò di due criticità che ho individuato nel corso dello stage e di come affrontarle. 8. Conclusione Ragionerò sull'importanza di questa esperienza addestrativa presso il gruppo.
