In the context of disaggregated mobile networks, this thesis explores the O-RAN (Open Radio Access Network) architecture and the development of a private 5G network based on srsRAN and SDR (Software Defined Radio) devices. After a theoretical analysis of the srsRAN software stack and its parameter configuration mechanism, a custom backend was implemented within the UHD (USRP Hardware Driver). This module enables low-level transmission of IQ data to FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) devices connected via PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), integrating seamlessly into the srsRAN stack. Finally, a standalone 5G network was designed and deployed using a USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) B210 device, enabling connectivity for commercial COTS UE (Commercial Off-The-Shelf User Equipment) with full Internet access.

Abstract
Finally, a standalone 5G network was designed and deployed using a USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) B210 device, enabling connectivity for commercial COTS UE (Commercial Off-The-Shelf User Equipment) with full Internet access.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
