Studio dell'effetto sinergico di nuovi estratti di origine vegetale nell'invecchiamento cerebrale

The plant world is an immesurable source of chemical compounds, with many interesting activities. This study was brought on in collaboration with Labomar, which is a company that manufactures nutraceuticals and other plant-based products, such as food supplements and cosmetics. One of the aim was, indeed, to look into the biocompatibility and the antioxidant and anti inflammatory activity of some extracts that were provided by Labomar, shedding a light on the potentially synergic effect of their combinations. The ultimate purpose was to evaluate the potential of these extracts in counteracting brain-aging.

Il mondo vegetale è fonte inesauribile di composti, molti dei quali con interessanti attività. Il lavoro, svolto in collaborazione con Labomar, azienda che si occupa di nutraceutica e di prodotti a base vegetali, tra cui integratori alimentari e cosmetici, tra gli altri, ha indagato biocompatibilità, attività antiossidante e antinfiammatoria di alcuni estratti, forniti dall'azienda, riservando una particolare attenzione al potenziale effetto sinergico di alcune combinazioni di questi. Lo scopo è valutare le potenzialità degli estratti studiati nel contrastare l'invecchiamento cerebrale.
