This research project aims to explore the effect of the phytoconstituents of some plant-based extracts on skin-aging. The extracts were provided by Labomar, a company that manufactures products such as food supplements, cosmetics and nutraceuticals. The biocompatibility and antioxidant activity of the extracts were examined, highlighting the potentially synergistic effect obtained from their combination. Their anti-inflammatory and photo-protective activities were investigated as well.
