L'elicottero: storia, aerodinamica e utilizzi moderni

Helicopters are one of the most important types of aircraft in the history of aviation. This technology has allowed humans to carry out many civilian and military operations that would otherwise be very difficult or even impossible. For example, helicopters have made it possible to transport wounded soldiers from the battlefield to military hospitals quickly and safely. This thesis explores the reasons that led to the invention of helicopters and examines their aerodynamic principles. In the final section, it focuses on different types of helicopters and their main uses in modern society.

L'elicottero è la tipologia di aeromobile più recente della storia dell'aeronautica, nonché uno dei più complessi. Questa tecnologia ha permesso all'uomo di compiere le più disparate attività civili e soprattutto militari portando a termine operazioni che prima sarebbero risultate difficili, se non impossibili, come ad esempio il trasporto di personale militare ferito dal fronte all'ospedale da campo. In questa tesi andremo a scavare nel passato per scoprire quale fu la causa che portò l'uomo a progettare l'elicottero per poi studiarne l'aerodinamica. Infine, andremo ad analizzare qualche modello di elicottero e gli ambiti in cui esso è utilizzato.
