This thesis analyzes the effects of the invasion of the animal element in the works of Cortázar and Di Benedetto, highlighting the differences between the surrealist universe of the former and the existentialist current of the latter. Through an analysis of the lives, poetics, and writings of both authors, the study explores how the animal element is represented by Cortázar and Di Benedetto in relation to movement and the space in which the animal is positioned with respect to human beings and their identity. The research is based on the analysis of selected texts, supported by critical bibliography, and proposes an innovative reflection on both authors.
