The thesis explores the dynamics of tourism governance and management through the analysis of Venice, a leading destination for cultural tourism. Starting from the 2025 Annual Tourism Plan and the Veneto Regional Tourism Program 2025–2027, the study examines the tools, stakeholders, and strategies involved in tourism planning, with particular attention to economic implications and emerging models of sustainability. The objective is to understand how a high-pressure destination can evolve into an integrated and regenerative system capable of effectively addressing the contemporary challenges of the tourism sector.
La tesi approfondisce le dinamiche di governance e gestione turistica attraverso l’analisi del caso di Venezia, capitale del turismo culturale. A partire dal Piano Turistico Annuale 2025 e dal Programma Regionale Veneto 2025-2027, lo studio esamina strumenti, attori e strategie di pianificazione turistica, con particolare attenzione alle implicazioni economiche e ai nuovi modelli di sostenibilità. L’obiettivo è comprendere come una destinazione ad alta pressione turistica possa trasformarsi in un sistema integrato e rigenerativo, in grado di rispondere efficacemente alle sfide contemporanee del settore.
