Through the lens of Situationism, the work of Oliviero Toscani is explored as an emblematic example of visual communication conceived as provocation, social denunciation, and cultural activism. This study examines some of his most significant campaigns, focusing on the symbolic, ethical, and political impact of the images he produced. Toscani emerges as a figure capable of breaking taboos, shaking public consciousness, and redefining the boundaries between art, advertising, and civic engagement. Our journey will begin with the history of photography itself, a path that will allow us to understand the cultural, technological, and aesthetic transformations that shaped the language of images, before arriving at the encounter with Oliviero Toscani and his Situationist-inspired approach. In an era shaped by digital communication and rapidly evolving visual codes, the final reflection addresses the relevance and legacy of his communicative strategy within the context of contemporary visual culture.
