This thesis explores the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the relationship between individuals and work within organizational contexts. Specifically, it analyzes how the pervasive diffusion of ICT can significantly alter the subjective perception of work activities, leading to both positive outcomes and negative consequences. The first chapter begins with a theoretical overview of the concept of stress, reconstructing the main contributions from the literature. Subsequently, adopting a process-oriented perspective based on Lazarus and Folkman’s (1984) transactional model, the dynamic nature of Technostress is examined. Its causes and effects are analyzed, with particular attention to the risk factors associated with the intensive use of Information Systems (IS). The second chapter focuses on Smart Working, examining its main configurations and its impact on productivity, well-being, and the boundaries between private and professional life. The link between Smart Working and Technostress is also highlighted, as a consequence of the continuous interaction with technological tools. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to the strategies for preventing and managing Technostress, emphasizing the central role of digital training, organizational support, and individual awareness in promoting sustainable digital work environments.

Abstract
The final part of the thesis is dedicated to the strategies for preventing and managing Technostress, emphasizing the central role of digital training, organizational support, and individual awareness in promoting sustainable digital work environments.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
