Obesity represents a significant global public health challenge, closely linked to chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular issues, and certain types of cancer. This study begins with an overview of the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and standard treatment approaches, which include lifestyle modifications, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery. It then focuses on the emerging role of GLP-1 receptor agonists, with particular emphasis on tirzepatide. As a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, tirzepatide has shown remarkable efficacy in promoting weight loss and enhancing metabolic health. The primary objective of this study is to investigate whether tirzepatide also affects eating behavior, specifically in relation to emotional eating patterns among individuals with obesity. This research will investigate whether behavioral improvements take place during therapy and evaluate patient-reported outcomes related to psychological well-being. The study aims to offer a more comprehensive understanding of tirzepatide’s effects, highlighting its potential to address both metabolic and behavioral factors in obesity management.

Abstract
The study aims to offer a more comprehensive understanding of tirzepatide’s effects, highlighting its potential to address both metabolic and behavioral factors in obesity management.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
