The growing environmental impact caused by the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) has made the development of recovery and recycling strategies for secondary raw materials increasingly important within a circular economy framework. This thesis is based on an internship experience at Stena Recycling S.r.l., a company specialized in the treatment and recycling of plastic materials derived from WEEE. The main objective was the analysis and evaluation of the mechanical properties of samples made from recycled plastic, obtained through separation processes and subsequent injection molding. Experimental tests were conducted to assess the material’s compliance with the quality standards required for the extrusion of high-performance pellets. The activities included laboratory testing, comparative analyses, and technical evaluations, with the aim of identifying the potential and limitations of the recycled material. The results confirm the feasibility of using recycled plastic from WEEE for industrial applications, contributing to the reduction of environmental impact and the promotion of more sustainable production processes.

Abstract
The growing environmental impact caused by the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) has made the development of recovery and recycling strategies for secondary raw materials increasingly important within a circular economy framework. The results confirm the feasibility of using recycled plastic from WEEE for industrial applications, contributing to the reduction of environmental impact and the promotion of more sustainable production processes.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
