This thesis analyzes the influence of overuse on the mechanical properties of the Achilles tendon, integrating anatomical and micromechanical knowledge with in vivo experimental methodologies. The results show significant changes in elastic modulus and stiffness in the presence of tendinopathy, offering useful insights for the prevention and treatment of overload related tendon pathologies.
Questa tesi analizza l'influenza dell’overuse sulle proprietà meccaniche del tendine d’Achille, integrando conoscenze anatomiche e micromeccaniche con metodologie sperimentali in vivo. I risultati evidenziano alterazioni significative in modulo elastico e rigidità in presenza di tendinopatia, fornendo spunti utili per la prevenzione e il trattamento delle patologie tendinee da sovraccarico.
