THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DESIGN A SUPPORT FOR A MASONRY ARCH FOR EXPERIMENTAL USE THAT CAN WITHSTAND BOTH THE THRUST PRODUCED BY THE ARCH ITSELF AND ITS OWN WEIGHT, LIMITED TO 5 TONS FOR COMPATIBILITY, THEREBY ALLOWING IT TO BE LIFTED AND MOVED. THE SUPPORT WAS DESIGNED TO BE MADE ENTIRELY OF REINFORCED CONCRETE OR PARTLY OF PRE-STRESSED REINFORCED CONCRETE, AND THE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT REGULATIONS, IMPOSING A LIMIT ON THE TENSILE STRESSES IN THE CONCRETE TO PREVENT THE FORMATION OF CRACKS THAT ALTER ITS RIGIDITY DURING LABORATORY TESTS. FINALLY, A COST ANALYSIS WAS PERFORMED TO VERIFY WHICH OF THE OPTIONS OBTAINED WAS THE MOST CONVENIENT.
LO SCOPO DI QUESTO PROGETTO RIGUARDA IL DIMENSIONAMENTO DI UN SUPPORTO PER UN ARCO IN MURATURA PER USO SPERIMENTALE CHE VADA A RESISTERE SIA LE SPINTE PRODOTTE DALL'ARCO STESSO, SIA IL PESO PROPRIO, LIMITATO A 5 TONNELLATE PER COMPATIBILITÀ, PERMETTENDONE QUINDI IL SOLLEVAMENTO E DI CONSEGUENZA MOVIMENTO. IL SUPPORTO È STATO PROGETTATO NEL CASO VENGA FORMATO INTERAMENTE DA CALCESTRUZZO ARMATO OPPURE IN PARTE DA CALCESTRUZZO ARMATO PRECOMPRESSO E LE VERIFICHE SONO STATE EFFETTUATE SEGUENDO LE NORMATIVE VIGENTI ANDANDO A IMPORRE UN LIMITE ALLE TENSIONI DI TRAZIONE NEL CALCESTRUZZO PER EVITARE LA FORMAZIONE DI FESSURE CHE NE ALTERINO LA RIGIDEZZA DURANTE LE PROVE IN LABORATORIO. INFINE UNA ANALISI DEI COSTI È STATA COMPIUTA PER ANDARE A VERIFICARE QUALE DELLE OPZIONI OTTENUTE FOSSE LA PIÙ CONVENIENTE.
