The thesis aims to carry out an aerodynamic analysis of the front wing of a Formula 1 car. It includes an introduction to the theoretical fundamentals of a generic airfoil, followed by a discussion on the historical development over time of aerodynamic studies on the front wing, as found in scientific literature and already implemented, with a particular focus on the results obtained and the different components that characterize it. Furthermore, the project includes a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation using Ansys Fluent, with special attention given to the study of resulting forces such as drag and downforce, and to identifying the optimal wing configuration.

Abstract
The thesis aims to carry out an aerodynamic analysis of the front wing of a Formula 1 car. It includes an introduction to the theoretical fundamentals of a generic airfoil, followed by a discussion on the historical development over time of aerodynamic studies on the front wing, as found in scientific literature and already implemented, with a particular focus on the results obtained and the different components that characterize it. Furthermore, the project includes a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation using Ansys Fluent, with special attention given to the study of resulting forces such as drag and downforce, and to identifying the optimal wing configuration.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
