This thesis focuses on the structural analysis of turbine blades in the aerospace field, with particular attention to mechanical stresses, fatigue phenomena, and material-related issues under critical thermal and structural conditions. The study examines the behaviour of materials subjected to cyclic loading and high temperatures, addressing key degradation mechanisms such as thermal fatigue, creep and corrosion, as well as the manufacturing techniques of such materials. The role of cooling techniques and coatings in improving blade reliability and extending service life is also discussed.
La tesi si concentra sull’analisi strutturale delle pale di turbina in ambito aerospaziale, con particolare attenzione alle sollecitazioni meccaniche, ai fenomeni di fatica e alle problematiche legate ai materiali operanti in condizioni termiche e strutturali critiche. L’analisi approfondisce il comportamento dei materiali sottoposti a carichi ciclici e alte temperature, considerando i principali meccanismi di degrado come fatica termica, creep e corrosione, nonché le tecniche produttive di tali materiali. Viene inoltre trattato il ruolo dei rivestimenti e delle tecniche di raffreddamento nel migliorare l’affidabilità e la durata delle pale.
