Muscle injuries are a very common type of trauma in the lives of athletes, with a significant impact on recovery time and athletic performance. Following a general overview of the classification of possible injuries and the biological response activated by the body to react to such damage, this thesis aims to analyze the potential contribution of dietary supplements in supporting the muscle recovery process. The objective of this work is to critically examine the most recent scientific evidence regarding sports supplementation, with the aim of understanding the underlying mechanisms in order to provide a more holistic and personalized approach to injury management.
