Analysis and simulation of a passive protection circuit designed to prevent current sparks from damaging equipment in high-voltage DC systems. The circuit has two layers of protection : the first is a Zener-type Transient Voltage Suppressor that limits voltage spikes, while the second consists of a sixth-order low-pass filter built with a Cauer LC network, aimed at reducing high-frequency components. The study also takes into account the real inductors characteristics, especially stray capacitances and their influence in high-frequency attenuation.

Abstract
Analysis and simulation of a passive protection circuit designed to prevent current sparks from damaging equipment in high-voltage DC systems. The circuit has two layers of protection : the first is a Zener-type Transient Voltage Suppressor that limits voltage spikes, while the second consists of a sixth-order low-pass filter built with a Cauer LC network, aimed at reducing high-frequency components. The study also takes into account the real inductors characteristics, especially stray capacitances and their influence in high-frequency attenuation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
