This thesis analyzes the space heating energy demand of a residential building through thermal load modeling and assessment of the thermal behavior of the building insulation. Based on the results, the proposed retrofit involves replacing the existing gas boiler with an air-source heat pump integrated with a photovoltaic system, while maintaining the existing renewable systems (biomass stove and solar thermal collector), with the goal of achieving a heating system fully powered by renewable energy. The study also considers the potential integration of electrical storage for the PV system and the replacement of gas cooking with an induction hob to make the home independent of the gas supply. A techno-economic analysis of the proposed solution is included, with particular focus on thermal comfort and environmental impact reduction.

Abstract
A techno-economic analysis of the proposed solution is included, with particular focus on thermal comfort and environmental impact reduction.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
