This thesis proposes a theoretical and applied model to describe collective behavior in competitive settings as financial markets. Agents have to decide whether to buy or sell based not only on personal preferences, but also on others’ actions and market trends. The model belongs to the class of trend − driven systems, where decisions are shaped by imitation and anticipation. The analysis focuses on agent interaction and the cost of changing idea factors that lead to recurring dynamics such as booms and crashes. The aim is to offer a more realistic view of strategic behavior, beyond perfect rationality.

Abstract
This thesis proposes a theoretical and applied model to describe collective behavior in competitive settings as financial markets. Agents have to decide whether to buy or sell based not only on personal preferences, but also on others’ actions and market trends. The model belongs to the class of trend − driven systems, where decisions are shaped by imitation and anticipation. The analysis focuses on agent interaction and the cost of changing idea factors that lead to recurring dynamics such as booms and crashes. The aim is to offer a more realistic view of strategic behavior, beyond perfect rationality.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
