This paper analyses how the semiconductor crisis has accelerated the penetration of Chinese automotive manufacturers into the European market. The study contrasts the fragility of Western supply chains, based on just-in-time logic, with the Chinese model, which has a strong competitive advantage built on three pillars: the "Made in China 2025" strategic plan, self-sufficiency in the production of legacy chips and control of raw materials essential for the electrical transition. The analysis illustrates how Chinese OEMs capitalised on this strategic superiority to establish themselves in Europe through the acquisition of historical brands, the export of new brands and the creation of joint ventures. It is concluded that the crisis was not a passing event, but a catalyzer that revealed European structural weaknesses, permanently altering the competitive landscape of the industry.

Abstract
It is concluded that the crisis was not a passing event, but a catalyzer that revealed European structural weaknesses, permanently altering the competitive landscape of the industry.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
