Objective: To present some plants, the source of flavonoids with estrogenic action, used as raw materials in nutraceuticals prescribed during menopause. Methods: The PubMed database was searched for systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical studies, and articles from scientific journals that studied menopause, phytoestrogens, and isoflavones. Results: This thesis presents scientific data found in the PubMed database on the following plants: soybean (Glycine max L.), red clover (Trifolium pratense L.), kudzu (Pueraria lobata (Willd) Ohwi), hops (Humulus lupulus L.), licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.), rhubarb (Rheum rhaponticum L.), chaste tree (Vitex agnus-castus L.), alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.), and Eriosema laurentii de Wild. and their potential use in nutraceuticals for menopause. Conclusion: Estrogenic flavonoids are an important, low-risk alternative for treating menopausal symptoms and improving quality of life in perimenopausal women.
