This thesis is part of the P2D project (Progression and Pedagogy of Design: Contextualizing Design-based Pedagogy in Teacher Education Programs) and analyzes the integration of the STEM approach with Music Education in primary school. The research was conducted in a 4th-grade class at the S. Ambrogio school complex of the G. Ponti Comprehensive Institute in Trebaseleghe. Specifically, the socio-emotional impact of the project was assessed using the SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) model, administered before and after the intervention. The research pathway involved the design and construction of musical instruments, inspired by ancient civilizations previously studied, using recycled materials. Data analysis was conducted through a t-test statistical analysis to identify any changes in the students’ socio-emotional impact.
