This work aims to explore the concept of paideia as it developed in ancient Greece, highlighting its philosophical, ethical, and educational foundations. In an age where education increasingly tends to be reduced to the mere transmission of technical and factual skills, there emerges a pressing need to rediscover a holistic vision of personal formation. Paideia, understood as a process directed toward the harmonious development of the individual in relation to the community, represents an educational model that still speaks meaningfully to the needs of contemporary society. Through a critical analysis of ancient sources and a comparison with current educational challenges, this thesis proposes that the contemporary school system could draw inspiration from paideia, adopting its spirit as a foundation for a renewed educational vision. From this perspective, the school is not merely a place of instruction, but becomes a space for the formation of the human being in their entirety: intellectually, ethically and civically.

Abstract
From this perspective, the school is not merely a place of instruction, but becomes a space for the formation of the human being in their entirety: intellectually, ethically and civically.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
