Several Italian cities are nowadays trying to regenerate their urban spaces. Some do it with the aim of increasing urban green spaces and fighting climate change, some to guarantee a better quality of life for residents, and others to improve the tourist experience of those who enter the city even for short periods. Many are also concerned with cultural regeneration by promoting and bringing various events concerning multiple themes, to the most striking, and sometimes unique, locations in their urbanity. New spaces are being created, others renovated and made available to the public again. But these are not only building improvements, since they lead to consequences that encompass multiple spheres such as environmental, cultural but above all social and convivial. The city of Rome, for example, has long prepared for the reception of a lot of pilgrims from all over the world on the occasion of the Jubilee in 2025. We will see what were the motivations, history and real transformations that led the administration of the City of Rome to implement the regeneration of many of the city's urban spaces, thanks to the management of funds allocated by the NRP. The urban situation is that of a city which has seen countless changes throughout its long history. It is beyond true that as solutions to problems arise, new and different needs are created. These latter aspects are also worthy of analysis where there are powers and counterpowers working to ensure the best for citizens, who are the first and foremost users of their streets and neighborhoods.
