This thesis offers an analysis of selected narrative works by Joseph Conrad, with particular focus on forms of biographical fiction and the representation of cultural diversity. The works under examination are read in light of the writings of literary theorist Edward Said, who extensively addressed these themes specifically in relation to Conrad.
Il presente elaborato propone un'analisi di alcuni testi narrativi di Joseph Conrad, con particolare riferimento alle forme della finzione biografica e alla rappresentazione della diversità culturale. Le opere prese in esame sono lette a partire dai lavori di un teorico della letteratura, Edward Said, che si è a lungo occupato di questi temi proprio in relazione a Conrad.
