This paper explores children's geographies, a field within cultural geography that recognizes children as active agents in shaping urban spaces, with particular attention to play, relationships, and autonomy. It examines the Italian context through initiatives such as "Città dei Bambini e dei Ragazzi", which aim to create more inclusive and participatory urban environments. The study then shifts to disability geographies, analysing the urban and domestic experiences of children with disabilities, and introducing the concept of the "città autistica". Finally, the paper reflects on the development of more inclusive geographies, considering diversity-aware education, and inclusive practices such as orienteering.
Questo elaborato analizza le geografie dei bambini, ambito della geografia culturale che riconosce i bambini come protagonisti attivi nella costruzione dello spazio urbano, valorizzando gioco, relazioni e autonomia. Viene approfondita la realtà italiana attraverso progetti come la "Città dei Bambini e dei Ragazzi”, orientati a creare città più inclusive e partecipative. Il lavoro si concentra poi sulle geografie della disabilità, esaminando le esperienze urbane e domestiche dei bambini con disabilità e introducendo il concetto di “città autistica”. Infine, viene proposta una riflessione su una geografia sempre più inclusiva, tra didattica sensibile alla diversità e pratiche inclusive come l’orienteering.
