This paper will begin by describing the concepts of intersectionality and postcolonialism, their origin and briefly their development, both in society and literature. I will then focus on two works of the last decades concerning intersectionality and postcolonialism Woman Native Other (1989) by TrinhT. Minh-ha and Girl, Woman, Other (2019) by Bernardine Evaristo. I will compare these two books, written by poc (women) writers, and the impact they have had in modern literature. They both criticised the term other, and focused on the concept of woman.
