The research developed in this thesis is part of a fruitful yet largely unexplored line of inquiry: Horace as a reader of Hellenistic poets, and in particular of Theocritus, an author who has been rather overlooked in investigations of Horatian intertextuality. The analysis aims to explore the forms and modes of Theocritean allusiveness in Horace’s lyric poetry, especially within the bucolic, encomiastic, and pederastic traditions.
L’analisi intende perlustrare forme e modalità dell’allusività teocritea in Orazio lirico, specialmente nell'ambito della tradizione bucolica, encomiastica e pederotica.

Abstract
The research developed in this thesis is part of a fruitful yet largely unexplored line of inquiry: Horace as a reader of Hellenistic poets, and in particular of Theocritus, an author who has been rather overlooked in investigations of Horatian intertextuality. The analysis aims to explore the forms and modes of Theocritean allusiveness in Horace’s lyric poetry, especially within the bucolic, encomiastic, and pederastic traditions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
