"Il Muspilli e l'Apocalisse di San Giovanni: simboli escatologici e visioni della fine dei tempi nella tradizione germanica e cristiana"

This thesis, which title is “The Muspilli and the Apocalypse of Saint John: eschatological symbols and visions of the end of times in the Germanic and Christian tradition ” aims to analyze and compare two fundamental texts of medieval literature: the Muspilli and the Book of Revelation from the New Testament. The objective is to explore how these two works address the eschatological theme, focusing on their differing visions of the end of the world, the symbolic elements that define each text, depictions of universal judgment and the struggle between divine and malevolent forces.

La presente tesi intitolata” Il Muspilli e l’Apocalisse di San Giovanni: simboli escatologici e visioni della fine dei tempi nella tradizione germanica e cristiana” si propone di confrontare e analizzare due testi fondamentali della letteratura medievale,ovvero il Muspilli e l’Apocalisse di San Giovanni. L’obiettivo è indagare come queste due opere affrontino il tema escatologico, soffermandosi sulle due differenti visioni di fine del mondo,sulla simbologia utilizzata da ciascun testo,sulla visione del giudizio universale e lotta tra bene e male.
