My thesis focuses on the Arthurian romance, with particular attention to the analysis of the emotions experienced by the characters in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Specifically, it explores the various emotional reactions to the appearance of the Green Knight, highlighting how fear, astonishment, courage, and tension reveal the psychological complexity of the protagonists and reflect the chivalric and courtly ideals of the time.

La mia tesi si concentra sul romanzo arturiano, con particolare attenzione all'analisi delle emozioni provate dai personaggi in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. In particolare, esamino le diverse reazioni emotive alla comparsa del Cavaliere Verde, mettendo in luce come paura, stupore, coraggio e tensione rivelino la complessità psicologica dei protagonisti e la visione cortese e cavalleresca del tempo.
