The thesis aims to analyze educational pathways within juvenile detention centers as essential tools for promoting the social reintegration of young detainees and preventing recidivism. Through a historical and legal examination of juvenile justice in Italy, it explores the structural and organizational characteristics of the contemporary juvenile prison system. Special emphasis is placed on educational practices and reintegration policies designed to foster effective and lasting resocialization processes. Additionally, the study focuses on the Juvenile Penal Institution of Treviso as a case study, highlighting some of the educational policies implemented, along with the strengths and challenges of the strategies adopted in a real-world setting. The research underscores how an educational and rehabilitative approach is central to the recovery of minors, contributing to the creation of opportunities for lives alternative to deviance.
