This thesis analyzes the concept of domestic gatekeeping and how the introduction of smart technological devices, such as home robots and advanced appliances, has influenced household management and gender stereotypes. Through a sociological analysis, it explores the historical role of women as "guardians" of the home, the impact of technology on female emancipation, and the nine dependencies it can generate. The research focuses on how these devices redefine the domestic workload and the control of family resources, highlighting the conflict between tradition and technological skills. Finally, it reflects on how technology can represent a form of freedom or a new trap for women.

Abstract
This thesis analyzes the concept of domestic gatekeeping and how the introduction of smart technological devices, such as home robots and advanced appliances, has influenced household management and gender stereotypes. Through a sociological analysis, it explores the historical role of women as "guardians" of the home, the impact of technology on female emancipation, and the nine dependencies it can generate. The research focuses on how these devices redefine the domestic workload and the control of family resources, highlighting the conflict between tradition and technological skills. Finally, it reflects on how technology can represent a form of freedom or a new trap for women.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
