This thesis aims to investigate the work and experiences of three contemporary women sculptors from Treviso, through field research based on direct interviews. The core of the research consists of three chapters, each entirely dedicated to one artist. Through an in-depth analysis of their testimonies, the thesis aims to bring out their authentic voices by exploring their educational backgrounds, individual poetics, their intimate and often physical relationship with the material, and the challenges they face as women and artists today. Each chapter is structured as an artist portrait, a dialogue that sheds light on their creative process and their worldview. To contextualize and enhance these narratives, a comprehensive introduction provides the necessary historical and critical framework, briefly outlining the panorama of female sculpture in Italy and the specificities of the artistic milieu of Veneto and Treviso. The conclusion, finally, synthesizes and compares the themes that emerged from the dialogues, offering a final reflection on the contribution of these artists to the local cultural scene and, more generally, on the contemporary condition of female sculpture.

Abstract
The conclusion, finally, synthesizes and compares the themes that emerged from the dialogues, offering a final reflection on the contribution of these artists to the local cultural scene and, more generally, on the contemporary condition of female sculpture.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
