The study examines the issue of the romanticisation of reality within the media. We try to understand this phenomenon by setting a definition and analyzing the important role of the media in this regard, with a specific focus on the role of cinema. The research aims to understand how media communication is configured to grasp how idealization occurs. We recognize the media's ability to manipulate reality, leverage the viewer's sensitivity and create alternative and fictitious realities capable of influencing our perception of the world. Subsequently, directing attention to cinema, we observe the characteristics and techniques that allow emotional involvement such as to influence our visions of the world, social relationships and behaviors. We also try to understand which strategies are actually adopted from a technical-cinematic point of view, through the analysis of four films (Nomadland, Into the Wild, Call Me by Your Name and Perfect Days), examining which models the case studies idealize and what the reason may be. Part of the discussion also focuses on the consequences, both positive and negative, brought by romanticization, capable of affecting our behavior.

Abstract
Part of the discussion also focuses on the consequences, both positive and negative, brought by romanticization, capable of affecting our behavior.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
