The thesis analyzes the political influence on public opinion and the distortion of information for persuasive purposes. Its objective is to compare and examine the communication and consensus-building strategies adopted by Trump and his political opponents during the U.S. presidential campaigns of 2016 and 2024, highlighting the role of their personalities, communication styles, and proposed political agendas. Special attention is given to the Cambridge Analytica case, which in 2016 raised serious concerns about the use of personal data and the targeted manipulation of voters. The aim is to understand how persuasive strategies and media were employed to shape public consensus and construct an effective political identity, raising ethical questions about the fine line between legitimate electoral communication and voter manipulation.
