Gender-based violence persists as a complex social issue, with public narratives that are constantly being redefined and significantly influenced by digital dynamics and the transformations accelerated by the post-Covid era. In this context, digital feminism emerges as a key player, shaping discourses, raising awareness, and mobilising responses on a global scale. This study aims to explore the impact of digital feminism on narratives of gender-based violence through a comparative analysis of Italy and Finland. It intends to investigate how the cultural and social specificities of each country influence the ways in which digital technologies are employed and narratives are constructed. This could potentially distinguish between approaches that focus on the 'symbolisation of single events' and those oriented towards 'systemic analysis and response' to the phenomenon. The analysis will identify the strategies and outcomes of digital feminism in these contexts by examining the types of discourse conveyed and the forms of online activism. The study seeks to offer a deeper understanding of the intersection between technology, gender, and violence and outline how digital feminism contributes to changing the perception of, and response to, gender-based violence in the current global landscape.
