Per un domani con meno pregiudizi: studio qualitativo sul futuro del BDSM

The acronym BDSM stands for: Bondage & Discipline (B&D); Domination & Submission (D/s); Sadism & Masochism (SM). The term contains a set of erotic/relational practices that still today struggle to fully escape social stigma, as they are considered unethical and even pathological. Two practices that fall within the BDSM world were chosen in particular: the first is FemDom (female domination), i.e. the set of games in which the dominant role belongs to the woman. The second is FinDom (financial domination), i.e. the sending of large sums of money by the submissive, in order to satisfy any need imposed by the dominant. The question under study concerns the future of these practices and BDSM in general: will BDSM practitioners be freer to expose themselves and be recognized as such in the future? Will there still be shame or fear of saying you belong to the BDSM community? Will the BDSM world be able to escape from social stigma and remove that erroneous vision that sees practitioners as sick? To try to answer all these questions and find the best possible solution, various research and studies have been carried out. In addition to this, qualitative interviews were carried out with Mistresses (dominatrixes) who perform, be it as a profession or as a hobby, this role within the BDSM world. They will give us their vision and tell us their thoughts, their feelings, about the future of such practices.

Il termine racchiude un insieme di pratiche erotico/relazionali che ancora oggi fanno fatica a uscire a pieno dallo stigma sociali, in quanto considerate poco etiche e perfino patologiche. Sono state scelte in particolar modo due pratiche che rientrano all'interno del mondo BDSM: la prima è la FemDom (dominazione femminile), ovvero l'insieme di giochi in cui il ruolo dominante appartiene alla donna. La seconda è la FinDom (dominazione finanziaria), ovvero l'invio di ingenti somme di denaro da parte del sottomesso, ai fini di soddisfare qualsiasi bisogno imposto dal dominante. La domanda oggetto di studio riguarda il futuro di queste pratiche e del BDSM in generale: in futuro i praticanti BDSM saranno più liberi di esporsi e farsi riconoscere come tali? Ci sarà ancora vergogna o paura di dire di appartenere alla comunità BDSM? Riuscirà il mondo BDSM a uscire dallo stigma sociale e togliersi quell'errata visione che vede i praticanti come malati? Per provare a rispondere a tutte queste domande e trovare la miglior soluzione possibile, sono state effettuate diverse ricerche e studi. Oltre a ciò, verranno effettuate interviste qualitative a Mistress (dominatrici) che svolgono, sia esso per professione o per hobby, questo ruolo all'interno del mondo BDSM. Esse ci daranno la loro visione e ci diranno i loro pensieri, le loro sensazioni, riguardo il futuro di tali pratiche.
