The aim of this thesis is to explore the health care system in the United States, analyzing the different types of health insurance, both public and private, and the inequalities in access to care. It also examines how state policies and the practices of the insurance companies have contributed to creating disparity within the population, also fueling the phenomenon of uninsured people. The thesis ultimately focuses on the innovations and reforms in the health sector and the changes planned with Trump's second administration.
Lo scopo di questa tesi è di esplorare il sistema sanitario degli Stati Uniti, analizzando le diverse tipologie di assicurazione sanitaria, sia pubblica che privata, e le diseguaglianze nell’accesso alle cure. Inoltre, viene esaminato come le politiche statali e le pratiche delle compagnie assicurative abbiano contribuito a creare una disparità all’interno della popolazione alimentando anche il fenomeno delle persone non assicurate nel territorio statunitense. La tesi come ultima istanza analizza le innovazioni e le riforme in campo sanitario e le eventuali modifiche pianificate con la seconda amministrazione Trump.
