Rimorso Sessuale: Prevalenza, Motivazioni e Implicazioni Legali

The feeling of regret after casual sexual experiences or with a long-term partner is a widespread phenomenon, the reasons for which are varied and can lead to complex psychophysical consequences and legal implications. As it is a highly sensitive topic, when investigated by direct questioning there is a high risk of bias as people tend not to answer truthfully, which is why analysis by indirect methods could facilitate its study. In this paper, in addition to investigating the prevalence and main motivations of sexual regret, the direct question method of investigation is compared with the crosswise method, an indirect procedure created in order to investigate sensitive topics while guaranteeing the confidentiality and anonymity of the respondent.

Il sentimento di rimorso dopo esperienze sessuali occasionali o con partner stabile è un fenomeno diffuso, le cui motivazioni sono molto varie e possono portare a conseguenze psicofisiche e implicazioni legali complesse. Essendo un tema ad alta sensibilità, quando indagato tramite domanda diretta si ha un elevato rischio di bias in quanto le persone tendono a non rispondere in modo sincero, per questo l'analisi tramite metodi indiretti potrebbe favorirne lo studio. In questo elaborato, oltre ad indagare la prevalenza e le motivazioni principali di sexual regret, il metodo di investigazione a domanda diretta viene confrontato con il metodo crosswise, un modalità indiretta creato al fine di indagare tematiche sensibili garantendo la riservatezza e l'anonimato del soggetto rispondente.
