This study explores stuttering as a psychodynamic and relational symptom, with particular focus on its situational variability. Adopting a phenomenological-dynamic perspective, it is hypothesized that the symptom emerges primarily in emotionally exposed contexts and diminishes in collective or non-relational situations. An original questionnaire was developed and administered to 80 participants to assess stuttering frequency and perceived communication tension across 22 everyday scenarios. The results confirm a coherent situational pattern, suggesting that stuttering is not merely a linguistic deficit but a defensive and expressive response shaped by context. Clinical implications encourage moving beyond corrective approaches, viewing the symptom as a signal of deeper psychological dynamics. Though not yet psychometrically validated, the questionnaire offers a promising tool for a more subjective and relational understanding of disfluency.
Questa ricerca esplora la balbuzie come sintomo psicodinamico e relazionale, ponendo attenzione alla sua variabilità situazionale. In una prospettiva fenomenologico-dinamica, si ipotizza che il sintomo emerga preferenzialmente in contesti ad alta esposizione emotiva e si attenui in situazioni collettive o non relazionali. È stato costruito un questionario originale, somministrato a 80 partecipanti, per rilevare la frequenza della balbuzie e la tensione comunicativa percepita in 22 situazioni quotidiane. I risultati confermano un pattern situazionale coerente, suggerendo che la balbuzie non sia riconducibile a un semplice deficit linguistico, ma rappresenti una modalità espressiva e difensiva modulata dal contesto. Le implicazioni cliniche invitano a superare approcci puramente correttivi, valorizzando il sintomo come segnale di vissuti profondi. Il questionario, pur ancora da validare, si propone come strumento utile per una lettura più soggettiva e relazionale della disfluenza.
