This thesis analyzes the chemical risk in the new silicone injection molding department of the company Silikomart S.r.l., with the aim of integrating safety from the design phase, following the international Prevention through Design (PtD) approach. The study followed a methodological pathway articulated in several phases: consultation of reference regulations (with particular attention to Legislative Decree 81/08 and the European REACH and CLP regulations), analysis of the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of the substances used, direct observation of work practices, and technical design of engineering prevention measures. The investigation was complemented by a literature review, interviews with staff, and the administration of a qualitative questionnaire to assess risk perception and the role of training.
