The introduction of antiretroviral therapy has transformed HIV infection into a chronic condition, significantly reducing mortality and improving the quality of life of HIV-positive people. This new perspective requires continuous management of the disease, involving physical, psychological and social aspects. In this context, the practice of self-care takes on a central role, as it allows patients to actively participate in maintaining their well-being. The objective of this study is to measure the level of self-care among people with HIV infection, in order to identify any inappropriate behaviors and define targeted educational interventions by nurses.
