This report presents the internship experience carried out at FIAMM Energy Technology S.p.A., specifically within the Research and Development (R&D) department. The project focused on the development and application of a procedure for calculating 1- and 3-minute discharge power values for lead-acid batteries, primarily used in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The data were derived from previously conducted tests on selected battery models across different product ranges. The results, validated by the company’s technical and marketing teams, were deemed suitable for integration into product datasheets and brochures, which previously included discharge values only for durations longer than 5 minutes. The developed procedure provides a practical contribution to the enhancement of technical documentation and can be applied to future battery models.
