Abstract
The evolution of firewalls represents one of the most significant aspects in the history of cybersecurity. From the early packet filtering mechanisms, designed to block or allow traffic based on simple static rules, the field has advanced to Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), capable of integrating advanced analysis, application-level inspection, and threat prevention features. This thesis aims to examine the technological evolution of firewalls, the main differences between the various generations, and their impact on modern cyber defense strategies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
