This thesis analyses the analytical model for arching in piled embankments reinforced with geosynthetics, developed by Van Eekelen et al. (2013). The objective is to understand the theoretical framework of the model and demonstrate its practical application through a real-world case study. The analysis highlights how parameters such as embankment height, pile spacing, and geosynthetic stiffness influence load distribution and the efficiency of the arching effect.

Abstract
This thesis analyses the analytical model for arching in piled embankments reinforced with geosynthetics, developed by Van Eekelen et al. (2013). The objective is to understand the theoretical framework of the model and demonstrate its practical application through a real-world case study. The analysis highlights how parameters such as embankment height, pile spacing, and geosynthetic stiffness influence load distribution and the efficiency of the arching effect.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
