This paper examines the phenomenon of Team Building and its strategic application within companies in the aerospace sector, to highlight how recreational activities, such as role-playing games: board games, and other group experiences, can serve as practical tools for enhancing cohesion, collaboration, and efficiency within work teams. The first part of the paper presents a theoretical analysis of the concept of Team Building, tracing its origins, evolution, and primary methods of application in corporate environments. It examines the psychological and organizational theories that underpin its effectiveness, as well as the tangible and intangible benefits derived from the effective implementation of Team Building practices, including enhanced internal communication, strengthened mutual trust, increased motivation, and ultimately, greater overall productivity. The second part is dedicated to an analysis of the aerospace sector, characterized by high technical complexity, highly interdependent processes, and multidisciplinary teams. In this context, cohesion and the ability to collaborate are crucial to project success. Several recreational experiences and activities are therefore presented and analyzed, from simulation games to cooperative role-playing and problem-solving games, which can be adapted to the corporate dynamics of aerospace companies and serve as genuine experiential learning laboratories. The aim of this work is to propose a new vision of play, understood not merely as entertainment, but as a corporate philosophy capable of generating value, innovation, and organizational well-being. In conclusion, the thesis aims to demonstrate how integrating playful methodologies into the training and development programs of aerospace teams can serve as a concrete lever for improving operational performance and, consequently, enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of the company.
Il presente elaborato esamina il fenomeno del Team Building e la sua applicazione strategica all'interno delle aziende del settore aerospaziale, con l'obiettivo di evidenziare come attività ludiche quali: giochi di ruolo, giochi da tavolo e altre esperienze di gruppo, possano rappresentare strumenti efficaci per accrescere la coesione, la collaborazione e l'efficienza dei team di lavoro. La prima parte dell'elaborato si concentra sull'analisi teorica del concetto di Team Building, ripercorrendone le origini, l'evoluzione e le principali metodologie di applicazione in ambito aziendale. Vengono approfondite le teorie psicologiche e organizzative che ne sostengono l'efficacia, così come i benefici tangibili e intangibili derivanti da una corretta implementazione delle pratiche di Team Building: miglioramento della comunicazione interna, rafforzamento della fiducia reciproca, aumento della motivazione e, in ultima analisi, incremento della produttività complessiva. La seconda parte è dedicata all'analisi del settore aerospaziale, caratterizzato da elevata complessità tecnica, processi fortemente interdipendenti e team multidisciplinari. In questo contesto, la coesione e la capacità di collaborazione risultano determinanti per il successo dei progetti. Saranno quindi presentate e analizzate alcune esperienze e attività ludiche, dai giochi di simulazione ai giochi cooperativi di ruolo e di problem solving, adattabili alle dinamiche aziendali delle imprese aerospaziali e capaci di fungere da veri laboratori di apprendimento esperienziale. L'obiettivo del lavoro è proporre una nuova visione del gioco, inteso non più come mero svago, ma come una filosofia aziendale in grado di generare valore, innovazione e benessere organizzativo. In conclusione, la tesi intende dimostrare come l'integrazione di metodologie ludiche nei programmi di formazione e sviluppo dei team aerospaziali possa costituire una leva concreta per migliorare le performance operative e, conseguentemente, la competitività e la redditività dell'impresa.
