The thesis aims to analyze the structural behavior of an excavator arm, modeled as a beam system, in order to simplify its study. Two operational configurations were considered: a severe condition, corresponding to the maximum extension of the arm, and a normal condition with a reduced extension. The forces acting on the members were calculated manually and subsequently compared with the results obtained using Ftool software. The deformed configuration of the arm was determined, and finally, the most stressed sections were subjected to structural verification to determine the stresses and ensure that they remained below the maximum safety limits. The study therefore provides useful indications for the structural verification of the excavator arm.

Abstract
The thesis aims to analyze the structural behavior of an excavator arm, modeled as a beam system, in order to simplify its study. Two operational configurations were considered: a severe condition, corresponding to the maximum extension of the arm, and a normal condition with a reduced extension. The forces acting on the members were calculated manually and subsequently compared with the results obtained using Ftool software. The deformed configuration of the arm was determined, and finally, the most stressed sections were subjected to structural verification to determine the stresses and ensure that they remained below the maximum safety limits. The study therefore provides useful indications for the structural verification of the excavator arm.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
